Somewhere along the way, I lost touch with myself
For a long time, I lived inside a version of success that looked right, but felt increasingly empty.
Maybe it was all those years of doing what I thought I should do.
The voices that said, “Be practical.” “Play it safe.” “You can’t make money doing that.”
So I followed the rules.
I climbed the ladder. Co-owned a successful spa business. Bought a house.
From the outside? It looked good.
But on the inside, I was running on empty.
Until one day, I finally got still enough to hear the whisper inside me ask:
Is this all there is?
Where was the joy? The peace? The fulfillment I was promised if I just did it all right?
The answer came quietly:
Not like this. There has to be another way.
So I walked away from the business, the house, the version of success that no longer fit.
I moved across the country to San Diego
And for the first time in a long time, I made a decision not out of fear, but from a place of deep inner-knowing.
A few months into rebuilding, I found an old Word doc tucked away on my computer:
“Career Options for Me.”
It made me laugh. Surely it belonged to someone else.
But there it was—written in earnest 10-point Times New Roman:
Coaching. Writing. Creating experiences to support others’ growth and development.
It hit me like lightning.
My past self had left a breadcrumb trail.
And this time, I was ready to follow it.
Because this—helping people regain clarity, reconnect with their inner-knowing, and build work and lives that light them up—this is what I’m here for.
It always has been.
Why I do this work
When I look at this photo of myself as a little girl, I’m reminded of something simple and important.
She knew who she was.
She was curious. Imaginative. Alive with ideas and questions.
And long before she learned how to be practical, productive, or “successful,” she knew what lit her up.
Like many of us, I learned over time to doubt that part of myself.
To quiet it.
To choose what made sense on paper.
It took years—and a great deal of clarity—to find my way back.
What I’ve learned since then is this:
Clarity changes everything.
When you can see clearly, you don’t need to force answers or rush decisions.
You begin to recognize what fits, what doesn’t, and what’s quietly asking to emerge.
That moment—when things finally come into focus, and you remember what matters—is what I call a Firefly Moment.
It’s why I do this work.
And it’s why I’m here to help you find yours.
