It was the fall of 2015. I had just left my career as a spa industry business owner, sold my house in the suburbs of Philadelphia and moved across the country to a place that was warm and by the ocean—San Diego.

I did this because I was SO totally and completely burnt out. My brain and my nerves were fried to a crisp.

Externally, it looked like I had it all.

But inside, I was STARVING to do work that gave me deep happiness and a sense-of-purpose.

After spending my entire working life doing all the things I *should*, I hit a VERY solid dead end. There HAD to be another way.

Once I arrived in California, I dove head first into personal development and doubled down on rediscovering myself and what brought me joy.

Several months in, I came across a decade-old Word document called "Career Options for Me”.

I didn't remember writing it, so I opened it out of curiosity.

What I saw was a bulleted list that said things like:

• Coaching

• Writing

• Creating events to support women

Things that I had been thinking about doing for a very, very long time.

And immediately, two things became crystal clear:

#1: The document was written by me.

#2: I was STILL toying with the idea of doing these EXACT SAME THINGS. I had always wanted to do them, and I suddenly realized that I would never STOP wanting them.

The time had come for me to take action.
